Scholarships & Work Trade

Bay Beehives proudly partners with REAP Climate Center, sharing a common mission to provide community classes and vocational training for a sustainable future. Our commitment extends to offering a comprehensive series of classes focused on Sustainable and Regenerative Beekeeping, led by Melissa McAndrew, Master Beekeeper Candidate and the Founder of Bay Beehives.

We are grateful for the support we receive from our students, as it enables us to continue our impactful work at REAP. Your contributions directly contribute to the expansion of our apiary, the development of native and honey bee habitats, and the provision of essential hive equipment. Moreover, we invest in planting native flowers to bolster our hives and promote local ecology.

At REAP, inclusivity is at the core of our mission, and we believe that financial resources should not be a barrier to accessing our courses. Beyond scholarships, we extend opportunities for Work Trade, allowing you to exchange your skills for valuable beekeeping training.

Regardless of income, everyone from seasoned professionals to novices are welcomed to apply.
