We’re excited to announce the Regenerative Beekeeping Certification (RBC) training.
RBC uses science-based information to educate and empower stewards for bees and beekeeping and supports beekeeping as an occupation, passion or advanced hobby. This cohesive program focuses not only on thriving bee populations but also on regenerative plant systems and the biosphere for bees to thrive.
Regenerative beekeeping methods place the bees’ health as the top priority. This approach measurably improves the health and resilience of pollinators by allowing bees to forage, pollinate, build honeycomb, reproduce, and establish healthy bee colonies as nature intended, while making sure their needs are met by actively supporting ecosystems that are in synergy with thriving and healthy bee populations.
Regenerative methods are not the same as sustainable practices. Regenerative beekeeping goes beyond sustaining and focuses on improving the health of the land, the environment, and the honeybees.
Training
This course offers a robust foundation in the art of tending bees and covers advanced insights into bee biology, life cycles and bee behavior.
In a combination of hands-on and lecture based lessons, RBC equips students with the skills to conduct thorough inspections, prepare for seasonal changes, responsibly harvest honey, identify and mitigate hive pests using IPM as well as natural methods, create customized native pollinator gardens, and much more.
It’s a practical, immersive learning experience, where, upon completion, students will be confident and capable beekeepers.
This course is ideal for those wishing to increase their knowledge and skills in beekeeping as a hobby, beekeeping as a profession or those wishing to serve as mentors for other beekeepers as an informational source.
RBC provides a comprehensive season of training rooted in a natural approach to apiculture. Our focus spans regenerative hive management, honey production, and pollinator health.
