About us
Bees are a pillar of the ecosystem and critical for life to exist on the planet.
Bees are essential for human life. Honeybees alone pollinate 80 percent of all flowering plants, including more than 130 types of fruits and vegetables. Every 3rd of bite of food you eat exists because of bees. They also pollinate 40% of all wild natural flowers and plants. The world would be a dessert wasteland without bees.
Host a Hive
Bay Beehives installs beehives in private backyards & rooftops while offering education on sustainable beekeeping practices throughout the Greater SF Bay Area.
Become a Beekeeper
Beekeeping is as nuanced as it is rewarding, and starting out can be an overwhelming endeavor. The best way to learn to keep bees is from an experienced beekeeper.
Corporate Hive Program
Through carefully cultivated experiences like hive tours, honey tastings & beekeeping classes, participants learn how to incorporate the hive’s lessons of teamwork.
Come join us
When done right, Beekeeping is a great way to help boost the bee population & it’s also a rewarding & meaningful hobby.
Not only that, but just two hives can pollinate an entire 5-10 acre garden for thriving plants!
